Looking for UK destination.

I have been searching for 6 months for a nice town to move to in the Uk .. I have narrowed it down to 2 choices.

Either the Cardiff/Swansea/Newport Area (Wales) or the stretch between Lincoln – Sheffield ..

If anybody knows any of these two and has an opinion, please let me know
