I was browsind the iPhone app store when I saw this new game called “Fieldrunners” that looked interesting, so I went away and bought it.

The wife was not pleased, the game was so addictive I got in the zone and was completely oblivious to anything she spoke to me this afternoon
Basically the objective of the game is to build defenses to ward off enemies invasions, but as I play it it kept on reminding me of a early 90’s game called “Cannon Fodder” … Just I’m reverse (defend vs attack).

Either way, nice game.. But once you manage to reach the goal of holding back 100 enemy invarion waves, then it becomes redundant, all it’s left is to try and do it at a harder level.

For those who know me closely is no surprise that I started to work for the UK2 Group this week ..

I was pleasantly made aware that we where celebrating the 10 year anniversary of the company today !!(10/10… How appropriate, gotta love marketing)
Anyway.. The celebrations started at 1:00PM at the office and after a few hours of “work” in the afternoon they proceeded the night away.

It was a nice way to end my first week here, everybody has been great and very accomodating, toping it off with free beer today, just made it one of my best weeks at a job yet.

Today I got my new company laptop, a MacBook Pro.

As I was transferring the data over I realized, my old mac is 32 months old, but it’s only 15% slower (+\-) and virtually the same design, plus still looks as new as the day I bough it (the old one is in the right with my girls pic on it).

How many PC Laptops can state the same ?

Plus it will now be handed over to the wife who probably will use it for another 32 months.

Yes, it was expensive at about 2K£, but it will last 5 years easily.
